The SHINE (Sexual Health Information Network & Education) Program is a federally funded evidence-based curriculum that is delivered by trained health educators from Child Health Services to teen girls in school, healthcare, and community settings in the Manchester region. The program provides accurate information to teens about sexual health and healthy relationships with the goal of reducing the incidence of unintended pregnancy and the risk of sexually transmitted infections (STIs). The program provides participants with interactive opportunities to build knowledge, practice effective communication skills, and learn about health care access in order to help teens focus on their education and career goals.
