The Personal Responsibility Education Program (PREP) is a federal initiative aiming to reduce teen pregnancies, sexually transmitted infections (STIs), and associated risk behaviors. Child Health Services at Manchester Community Health Center receives funding through NH DHHS to facilitate two evidence-based curriculums, SHINE and Reducing the Risk, which has been proven to reduce the rates of STI/HIV transmission and pregnancy among youth. Child Health Services at MCHC staff facilitate these curriculums in Manchester District High Schools, community organizations including the Boys and Girls Club, and social services providers including Granite State Independent Living and the Sununu Youth Services Center.
